Shena — Copywriter
The Brief
To develop a cohesive print concept for Olympus point-and-shoot cameras, while also distinguishing between the four categories - creator, tough, smart, traveler. Each print should bring out the unique personality of the product and its potential buyers' lifestyle.
The Concept
"Cover page magazine"
When our team first set out to brainstorm for ideas, we didn't want to overwhelm our audience with a horde of information such as product specifications - yet these are essentials.
So, why not a magazine cover? Turn the product name into the magazine's title to reinforce brand recall, and intrigue audience to read into its product specifications with engaging sub-titles.
Campaign Extension
User manual: Each product category has its own "magazine" instead of the typical booklet, featuring great photography works too.
Outdoors: Life-size installation of the "magazines" allow people to pose as cover models. Passersby submit photos of themselves to win the featured camera.
Mobile application: An app with the likes of “PhotoFunia” is created - where self-portraits are superimposed on magazines’ covers. Participate in the "Olympus Next Top Magazine Face” contest to win a camera by sharing photos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
